NEXT MEETING: TUESDAY 26 May 2026 at 7:00 PM

Our April speaker will be Herizo Ramanantsialonina and Stephanie Arnold
Rotary Affiliation:
University of Makerere, Cohort 7, 2024-2025
Biography:
Herizo is a dedicated Malagasy community development specialist and the first-ever Rotary
Peace Fellow from Madagascar. Currently, he serves as the Founder and President of the
NGO Peace Gasy, a local non-profit organization committed to fostering sustainable peace
and development in Madagascar.
His professional journey is deeply rooted in his extensive tenure with the Peace Corps.
Herizo served in several pivotal roles, including Language and Cross-Culture Trainer and
Health Program Specialist in Madagascar, before transitioning to an international capacity as
a Peace Corps Recruiter based in New York City. Throughout these roles, he successfully
designed and led numerous community-led initiatives in rural Madagascar. His work in
malaria prevention, nutrition, and youth health has directly improved the quality of life for
countless individuals in underserved regions of the island.
In addition, he also serves as an Ambassador for the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP),
where he actively promotes the Positive Peace framework within the Malagasy context.
When he is not advancing peace initiatives, he finds inspiration in nature, spending his free
time hiking and exploring the great outdoors.
